Oats-a small platter
Green Peas(frozen)-a small bowl
French Beans- (Finely chopped )a small bowl
Carrot-(chopped) a small bowl
Coconut- (grated) 4 teaspoon
Onion -(chopped) 1 medium
Ginger- (crushed) a small piece
Green chillies-(chopped) 2
Curry leaves- 4-6
Turmeric- a pinch
Mustard seeds- 1/2 teaspoon
Oil- 2-3 teaspoon
Salt- to taste
Water-enough to cook
Roast the oats in a pan, without using oil, until it turns crispy.
and set aside.Sprinkle mustard seeds to the hot oil, when it splutters add
chopped onion, crushed ginger,green chillies and curry leaves. Saute until onion becomes translucent.
Add a pinch of turmeric powder (until the raw fragrance is gone). Add salt to it.Mix it well. Add all the vegetables
cover the the pan with a lid till the vegetables are cooked.Reduce the flame.
Uncover the lid, stir the cooked ingredients and add grated coconut.Add and mix roasted oats with some salt. Cook for a minute.
Pour enough water to soak the oats and stir for a minute .Add more water,when it starts to boil, cover the lid and cook over medium flame.
cook until the water is absorbed and the oats are cooked properly for 10 minutes.
After 10 minutes uncover the lid and mix well. Turn off flame .Serve hot
