Here we are showing how to cook muringayila thoran Kerala style recipe. This recipe’s main ingredient is Muringayila – Drumstick Leaves.

Eating Muringayila thoran may helps to lower blood sugar levels, This food is rich in antioxidants, lower cholesterol, & will protect the body against arsenic toxicity.


1)   Muringayila / Drumstick Leaves (Slightly chopped).
2)   Mustard.
3)   Red Chillies.
4)   Salt.
5)   Oil.
6)   Button Onion – ചെറിയ ഉള്ളി : 3 to 4 Nos.
7)   Green Chilly.
8)   Turmeric Powder – മഞ്ഞള്‍പ്പൊടി.
9)   Coconut : Grated.
10) Garlic.


Grind the button onions, with Grated Coconut, Turmeric powder and 2 green chilly and, garlic in a mixer grinder. In a hot pan, saute mustard, red chilly, and Muringa ila (Drumstick leaves) for 2 minutes.

Add Salt as Needed. Close the pan and wait it to dry. Muringa Leaves (drumstick leaves) then put the Onion, Chilly,Garlic,Coconut mix onto the Pan. Mix it thoroughly on medium heat.
