Healthy Ragi Dosa

Ragi or millet flour is filled with calcium and iron. For diabetic patients, pregnant ladies and women after menopause, calcium and iron are needed in abundance to make them healthier. Every type of millet flour is rich in these and these need to be taken regularly and included in the daily diet chart for improving your health.

It is not necessary to use the same millet every day, but any of the millets should be used on a daily basis in a rotation to provide the necessary iron, calcium and protein content to your body. This video explains a south Indian dosa that is usually made with rice, to be substituted with finger millet.

Ingredients are:

  • Finger millet flour – 2 cups
  • Rice flour – 1 ¼ cup
  • Black gram dal – ¼ cup
  • Sour curd – ¼ cup
  • Onion – ½ cup
  • Salt
  • Oil
  • Sesame seeds (roasted)
  • Flax seeds
