Genital Herpes

This is a highly contagious infection that mainly spreads through skin-to-skin contact or can be passed on from a mother to her child. In either case, once the virus affects a particular area, the virus moves from the skin cells into the nerve cells. The virus then never leaves the nerves and stays in for the lifetime.

This virus is dormant during most of the time, and becomes active at certain points like fever, stress and many other factors. The various symptoms of genital herpes include blisters, open pores, itches and pain in these areas.
